Underwater Image Mosaic Algorithm Based on Improved Image Registration

In order to obtain panoramic images in a low contrast underwater environment, an image mosaic algorithm based on enhancement and improved registration (IIR) was proposed. Firstly, mixed filtering sigma are used enhance the of original de-noise image. Secondly, scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT) is detect points. Then, proposed IIR applied improve matching accuracy reduce time. Finally, weighted smoothing method for fusion avoid seams.
